The upcoming Schertz Street Rehabilitation project is set to begin in late September, aiming to improve various streets in the area.

Assistant City Engineer John Nowak outlined the process at a recent City Council meeting.

The project includes streets such as St. Andrews, Maple Drive, and Dove Meadows.

Rehabilitation involves removing old pavement, stabilizing the base, and adding new pavement.

The project, costing $3.58 million, will be funded by the city's general fund and bonds.

Contractor E-Z Bel Construction is expected to start work in September, with completion estimated for winter 2025.

Overall, the project signals a positive step towards enhancing Schertz's infrastructure.
